Mountains in Transylvania

Let's start with two photos from Mountain Retyezat in Romania, at the south end of the Karpatian chain. It was raining for the six days I spent there. Now I know: for clear weather you have to go there in August, not at the end of July... Anyway, this is still my favourite place on Earth.


And this is a cross on the top of Szekelyko, the Stone of the Szekelys (=most of the Hungarians of Transylvania), a huge hill standing alone above the village of Torocko:
