Differenciálgeometria és topológia
Tárgykövetelmény

TTK, Matematikus és Alkalmazott matematikus
MSc képzés 1. félév

(in English)

Kód: BMETE94MM00;  Követelmény: 3/1/0/V/5;

Félév: 2013/14/1;  Nyelv: angol;

A jelenlétet minden alkalommal ellenőrizzük.

Félévközi számonkérések: 2 darab 90 perces 20 pontos zárthelyi dolgozat.

1. zh. Ideje: 7. hét. Témája: de Rham-elmélet (külső formák, kohomológia, dualitás).

2. zh.

Egy zh pótlására (javítására) a 13. héten biztosítunk lehetőséget. A pótlási időszakban különeljárási díj ellenében az eredménytelen zh pótlása újból megkísérelhető. Pótlás esetén annak eredménye felülírja a korábbi eredményt.

A vizsgajegy kialakítása szóbeli vizsgán történik. A vizsgán csak érvényes aláírással rendelkező hallgatók vehetnek részt.

Konzultációk: az oktatóval való megegyezés szerint.

Differential geometry and topology
Course requirements

Faculty of Natural Sciences
an MSc lecture course and discussion section
for mathematicians and applied mathematicians

Code: BMETE94MM00;  Requirement: 3/1/0/V/5;
Semester: 2013/14/1;  Language: English;
Lecturer: Dr. Gabor Etesi

Attendance requirements: Only those students are allowed to enter the  semester-end oral exams who attend at least 50% of the lectures and at least 70% of the discussion sections. The attendance will be taken every time.

Written tests during the semester: 2 tests, duration: 90 minutes, each test  will be scored between the range of 0 -- 20.

    First test: 7th week of the semester. The topics covered: vector bundle theory, calculus on manifolds, de Rham theory.

    Second test: 12th week of the semester. The topics covered: calculation of de Rham cohomology groups, analysis and PDE's on manifolds.

Educational requirements: Only those students are allowed to enter the semester-end oral exams -- beyond meeting the attendance requirements above -- who can score at least 8 points in both tests separately. If the results of both tests fail this limit then a student is not allowed to enter the oral exams. One of the previous two tests can be re-written at the 13th week of the semester. During the 14th week one of the previous three tests can be re-written if the corresponding administrational fee is paid. Note that the scoring of a new test automatically overwrites the scoring of the corresponding previous test.

Examination at the end of the semester:  The student will be scored in an oral exam between the range of 1 (insufficient) -- 5 (excellent). Only those students are allowed to enter the oral exams who
already met the attendance and educational requirements listed above.

Office hours: By appointment with the lecturer.
