Presence. Presences are not recorded, but students should attend at least 70% of the

lectures. Students also take a 25 minutes (open-book) test each week, at the beginning of the practice class based on which can get bonus points or in case of bad performance, suggested to study basic statistics preliminaries. However, taking the tests is not a requirement for the signature (you can indicate me at the end of the lecture class that you won’t be able to write the test), and the test results do not count in your grade (except some bonus points). 70% participation at the lecture or practice classes is needed for the signature.

There are two homework exercise sets: 40% performance of each is also a requirement for the signature.


Final exam: (A) theoretical questions (with proofs), (B) multivariate statistical methods

(without proofs), (C) interpreting the outputs of a statistical program package (BMDP).

The final grade is the weighted average of the homework assessment

(50%), and the performance on the final exam (50%).
