## Short version

- 1970--74 study at the special mathematical branch of the
M. Fazekas Secondary School, Budapest, Hungary. This school plays a
kind of leading role in the Hungarian mathematical education.
- 1968--74 a long series of awards in mathematics and physics,
featuring
**8 (eight) free admissions to any Faculty of Natural
Sciences**.
- 1972 ---- autodidact in hardware/software/informatics
- 1974--75 compulsory service at regular troops
- 1975--80 undergraduate and graduate student in mathematics
(algebra, logic and algorithms) at the Faculty of Natural Sciences,
Lorand Eotvos University, Budapest.
- 1978--97 teaching duties and later staff at the Department of
Algebra and Number Theory, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Lorand Eotvos
University, Budapest.
- 1982--83 University Doctorial Degree (a PhD approx.) at Lorand
Eotvos University, (applied in 82 -- awarded in 83)

Thesis title:
"Homomorphisms of extensions of fields, non-unary algebras and
graphs"
- 1986--88 Candidate's Degree at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences,
(applied in 86 -- awarded in 88)

Thesis title: "Algebraic
representation of monoids and categories"
- 1994 ---- mutation to somewhere between Mathematics and Computer
Science
- 1997 ---- foundation of the subject and introduction system of
courses in the subject of "Mathematical Infrastructure"
- 1998 ---- teaching staff at the Department of Algebra, Faculty of
Natural Sciences, Technical University of Budapest.
