Mr. József Csicsman graduated as a Mathematician of the József Attila University (current name: the University of Szeged) in 1976. As a managing director of Új Calculus Bt., which was established in 1982, he had more than twenty years of managerial experience.
On the one hand he was the leader of the Microsimulation Research Group which was founded jointly by the Research Centre for Department of Information and Knowledge Management at Budapest University of Technology and Economics and Új Calculus Ltd. in 2001. He managed the development of a multilingual SAS-based, end-user application, the Microsimulation Modelling and a Decision Support System which was provided with data warehouse functions. He had great experience in the field of project management. He followed international policies in application development and project management, such as SSADM (Structured Systems Analysis and Design Method) and PRINCE.
On the other hand he was a lecturer of Practical Application of Statistics course of the Institute of Informatics (University of Szeged) and Data Mining in Practice course of the Department of Computer Science and Information Theory (Budapest University of Technology and Economics). In 2001 he introduced Derive Mathematics Software and in 2007 the Autograph Math Software in the Hungarian secondary education. He sponsored completing the Hungarian version of these softwares due to his belief that the most efficent way of teaching and learning is to do it in native language.
