Dual Master's program in financial mathematics

The Master's program in Applied Mathematics with a specialization in Financial Mathematics, administered by the Department of Stochastics at BME, will also be offered as a dual program in partnership with the Central Bank of Hungary starting in the 2024/25 academic year. The theoretical part of the education provided within the dual training program follows the same curriculum as the non-dual Master's program in Applied Mathematics with a specialization in Financial Mathematics, providing a strong theoretical foundation in probability theory, stochastic processes, and statistics. Students acquire practical knowledge and professional experience first-hand in a banking environment, under the mentorship of expert staff at the Central Bank of Hungary.

The dual degree obtained upon successful completion of the program is unique in Hungary in the field of Financial Mathematics. The professional experience gained at the country's most competent financial institution is extremely attractive on the labor market. The Central Bank of Hungary offers students the opportunity to build professional relationships in a unique financial center.
