Imre Péter was awarded the Itô Prize

Imre Péter Tóth, an associate professor in our department, has been awarded the 2027 Itô Prize for his article titled Spectral gap for the stochastic exchange model (co-authors: Eric A. Carlen and Gustavo Posta), which he will receive in 2027 at the Stochastic Processes and their Applications conference. The award is presented by the Bernoulli Society to the authors of the best paper among those published in the journal Stochastic Processes and Applications, whose work has made a significant contribution to the development of the theory or application of stochastic processes. The Bernoulli Society publishes a list of past and currently announced award winners on its website.
